Armando Manzanero was a Mexican songwriter who wrote some of the most beautiful love songs of all times in Latin America. Somos Novios means “we are lovers.” Originally being a love song in a major key, I intentionally played in its relative minor key for a heartbreaking/mourning mood to reflect a stage in my life when I had my heart broken.
